Manychat Secures $140M to Boost Chat Automation and Global Expansion
The messaging automation company plans to grow its AI tools and expand worldwide after securing major funding.
Manychat has raised $140 million in new funding to scale its chat automation tools and expand its global reach. The funding round was led by Summit Partners.
Based in Palo Alto, California, Manychat helps businesses automate conversations across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and other messaging apps. Its tools are used by over a million businesses to send billions of messages each year.
“Manychat was created to help businesses build stronger customer relationships,” said co-founder and CEO Mike Yan. “This funding will help us keep innovating and delivering real value to both businesses and creators around the world.”
The company plans to use the funds to speed up its global growth, invest in research and development, improve customer support, and expand its AI-powered features.
Founded in 2015, Manychat has now raised a total of $163 million. The company is already profitable and aims to lead in the growing market for intelligent chat automation.
Interest in AI-powered tools continues to rise. In the last quarter alone, investors poured $59.6 billion into AI-related startups. Chatbots and AI agents like those developed by Manychat are attracting significant attention.
Other startups in the space are also seeing strong support. Last week, Exaforce secured $75 million in a Series A round to develop AI tools for security operations.
